In the session of 03/08, VN-Index added more than 27 points and regained the mark of 1,760 when a series of macro data in July prospered to support cash flow on a large scale. Banks are the biggest gainers, followed by technology and retail and aviation groups with a series of stocks reaching the ceiling price.

South Korea's KOSPI index fell the deepest when the two leading semi-leading stocks, Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix, both lost more than 8%, returning most of the results of the previous session's record gains, due to foreign and institutional investors selling simultaneously. Japan's Nikkei 225 also retreated in the semiconductor equipment group, China's Shanghai Composite decreased slightly, Hong Kong's Hang Seng alone kept the green color.

Domestic gold bar prices recovered as the world gold price approached $4,066 per ounce. SJC gold bars were listed by Saigon Gold, Silver and Gems Company at 137.50 million VND in the buying direction and 141.50 million VND in the selling direction, an increase of 500,000 VND per volume in both directions compared to the previous session.
