On August 27, VN-Index increased by 10.24 points to 1,831.56 points with VIC alone bringing 10 points out of a total of 14.7 points in the whole upward direction, foreign investors net bought VND 209.93 billion and poured more than VND 444 billion into TCB amid information on capital sale negotiations to foreign investors.

South Korea's KOSPI index rose the most in the region, the push still came from Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix in the wave of memory chip stocks that lasted throughout August. China's Shanghai Composite Index rose following expectations of growth support policies at the meeting of the country's National Assembly Standing Committee from August 25 to 28, the People's Bank of China still kept its key lending rate at a record low.

The price of SJC gold bars this afternoon decreased by 200,000 VND per volume in both directions compared to yesterday's session. Saigon Gold, Silver and Gems Company listed 147.40 million VND bought and 150.40 million VND sold each, the Doji system applied the same price in both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
