- Ending the April 26 session, US stocks traded mixed as investors prepared for busy week of the first quarter financial reporting season. The S&P 500 rose 0.2 percent to a record closing session of 4,187.62 pts. The Nasdaq Composite rose 0.9 percent to 14,138.78 points, hitting a new record since Feb. 12. The Dow Jones industrial average lost 61.92 points, or 0.2%, to 33,981.57 points, pulled down by Procter & Gamble, Walmart and Coca Cola. The essential consumer goods industry was the strongest loser, losing more than 1%.
