- US stocks rallied at the start of the week on Monday (December 6), with the Dow easing last week's losses as investors shook off concerns around the emerging threat of a coronavirus variant. -19 Omicrons. Ending the session, the Dow Jones index jumped 646.95 points (equivalent to 1.8%) to 35,227.03 points. The S&P 500 added 1.1% to 4,591.67, while the Nasdaq Composite broke out of the negative territory and closed up 0.9% at 15,225.20.
