The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell the key 30,000-point mark on Thursday (June 16), the first time since January 2021, as investors worried that the Fed's aggressive approach to curbing inflation would lead to a recession. Closing the session, the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 741.46 points, or 2.42%, to 29,927.07, while the S&P 500 dropped 3.25% to 3,666.77. The Nasdaq Composite lost 4.08% to 10,646.10 and hit its lowest level since September 2020.
