US stocks fell on Thursday, as the S&P 500 closed its worst first half in more than 50 years. Ending the session, the Dow Jones fell 253.88 points (or 0.8%) to 30,775.43 points. The S&P 500 lost nearly 0.9% to 3,785.38, and the Nasdaq Composite dropped 1.3% to 11,028.74.

The Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) of Vietnam's manufacturing industry reached 54 points in June, slightly down from 54.7 points in May, but still showing a strong improvement in the health of the manufacturing industry. Business conditions have improved during the past nine months.
