At the end of the session on August 3, foreign investors traded in a more positive direction when buying 61 million shares, worth VND1,700 billion, while selling out 35.8 million shares, worth VND1,043 billion. Total net buying volume was at 25 million shares, equivalent to a net buying value of VND 657 billion. Foreign investors on HoSE were the strongest net buyers of HPG with VND174 billion.

Asian stocks mostly rallied despite geopolitical tensions between the US and China escalating after House Speaker Nancy Pelosi took a flight to the island of Taiwan. In China, the Shanghai Composite Index fell 0.71%, Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index gained 0.4%. In South Korea, the Kospi index rose 0.89%. Nikkei 225 (Japan) gained 0.34%.

CTG: Accumulating 6 months, the bank reported a profit of VND11,607 billion, up 7% compared to the first half of 2021, equivalent to nearly 60% of the year plan. In which, semi-annual net income reached VND 22,118 billion, up 3%. Foreign exchange business reached VND1,597 billion, up 86%, other activities profit was nearly VND3,000 billion, up 90%. Trading in securities made a profit of VND49 billion, down 80%. Investment securities trading made a profit of VND5.8 billion, while the same period lost VND 88 billion. As of June 30, total assets reached VND 1.69 million billion, up 10.4% compared to the beginning of the year.
