US stocks gained in volatile session on Thursday (February 23), as investors remained concerned about the Fed interest rate hike schedule. The Fed has been in the spotlight for investors this week since the release of its latest meeting minutes. Fed pointed out that inflation “remains over” the target of 2%, even as the data shows a “moderate slowdown in monthly inflation growth".
