U.S. stock index inched higher on Friday as Treasury yields took a breather from a week-long rally. Wall Street indexes have had a volatile start to March after the latest economic data pointed to rising raw material costs and a resilient labor market, while signaling that the U.S. central bank was yet to see the desired impact of its policy tightening measures on inflation.

Today, commercial banks simultaneously reduced deposit interest rates by 0.5%/year. Thus, compared to the peak at the end of 2022, the interest rate has decreased by 1.5-2%/year. Along with reducing deposit interest rates, many banks have also started to reduce lending rates to stimulate credit demand.
