The highlight of the market today came from the afternoon session. Since 2 p.m, strong cash flow has pushed VNIndex to close at its highest in the session. MWG led the retail group with an increase of 3.2%. Steel stocks simultaneously rose from 1:30 p.m. Specifically, NKG and SMC increased to the ceiling, HSG +6%, HPG +2.6%, POM +5.7%.

Asian shares hit a one-month low as hawkish remarks from central bankers tempered expectations for interest rate cuts. The Hang Seng Index headed for its worst session of the year, dropping more than 2% to a 14-month trough. Japan's Nikkei snapped a six-session winning streak and retreated from a 34-year high, closing 0.8% lower at 35,619.
