Asia-Pacific markets were mostly lower Tuesday as investors assessed comments from the European Central Bank officials signaling that rate cuts may be on the horizon for the world’s largest economic bloc. The Bank of Japan's key measurements of underlying inflation in April all fell below its 2% target, heightening uncertainty on the timing of its next interest rate hike.
