The VNIndex had an unexpected performance when it dropped sharply near the end of the afternoon session despite the pull of the banking group. Apart from the banking group, almost the entire market was in red, in which the most negative were the chemical, oil and gas, and aviation groups.

The price of gold rings continues to increase strongly, approaching the 78 million VND/tael mark thanks to support from the world gold price reaching a new record. Meanwhile, the price of gold bars has been almost flat for over a month after the State Bank sold gold to 4 state-owned commercial banks.
