Asian stock markets ended mixed today. Both the Hang Seng and Shanghai Composite indices rose by over 0.2%, reflecting positive data as China’s exports grew by 5.8% year-on-year in June (in USD terms), while imports increased by 1.1%. Meanwhile, Japan’s Nikkei 225 fell into the red after the yield on 10-year Japanese government bonds rose to a nearly two-month high of 1.55%.

NAB: Nam A Commercial Joint Stock Bank (NAB) has become the first lender to release its preliminary business results, reporting a pre-tax profit of over VND2,500 billion, up 14% year-on-year. In Q2/2025 alone, the bank recorded a pre-tax profit of VND1,275 billion, rising 1.5% from the same period in 2024. This performance helped maintain a return on equity (ROE) of nearly 20% and a return on assets (ROA) of 1.5%.
