Today, the domestic gold market continued to witness a strong surge. SJC gold bars reached a new all-time high of 140.6 million VND/tael – the highest ever. Plain gold rings and jewelry also soared by up to 2.2 million VND/tael, simultaneously setting record prices.

Banking stocks slightly corrected today despite positive speculation about the Q3 pre-tax profits of several state-owned banks. CTG is estimated to have reached VND9,500 billion, marking a 45% year-over-year increase and surpassing VCB for the second consecutive quarter. BID is expected to post VND7,200 billion in pre-tax profit, up about 10% compared to the same period last year. Meanwhile, VCB recorded a 6% year-over-year increase.
