Asian stock markets mostly traded in the green despite last night’s decline on Wall Street. In South Korea, investor enthusiasm spread right from the opening session. The Kospi index in Seoul rose 1.9%, supported by large-cap stocks, particularly in technology and automotive. In the Japanese stock market, investors took the opportunity to buy in after the sharp drop in the previous session caused by concerns that the Bank of Japan might raise interest rates this month. By the end of the trading day, the Nikkei showed almost no change.
