VN-Index extended its winning streak to a ninth consecutive session as blue-chip stocks were pushed up in the final minutes of trading. In today’s market, only Vingroup-related stocks and the Oil & Gas group showed clearly positive performance. In contrast, most other sectors were awash in red, with Chemicals, Steel, and Securities standing out as the most negative groups.

Asian stock markets traded mixed today as investors awaited this week’s Federal Reserve interest rate meeting. Specifically, the Shanghai Composite Index rose more than 0.5% to 3,924.08 points after China’s November exports increased 5.9% year-over-year, surpassing economists’ expectations of 3.8% growth. Meanwhile, the Hang Seng Index dropped more than 1.2% to 25,765.36 points.

The domestic gold market saw a clear rebound in SJC gold bars today, with selling prices returning to VND 154.5 million per tael. In contrast, gold rings and 24K/18K jewelry gold continued to move sideways, with only a few brands adjusting prices slightly higher by 200,000–500,000 VND/tael.

BID: The Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) has recently announced its preliminary business results for the first 11 months of 2025, reporting pre-tax profit of more than VND 29,000 billion. As of the end of November 2025, BIDV’s total assets reached over VND 3.2 quadrillion, an estimated increase of 16% compared to the beginning of the year, maintaining its position as the largest joint-stock commercial bank in Vietnam by total assets. Outstanding loans reached nearly VND 2.3 quadrillion, up 13.7% year-to-date, with full-year credit growth expected at 15%–16%.
