After a prolonged rally and repeated record highs, domestic gold prices unexpectedly reversed sharply lower today. SJC gold bars saw a deep correction, falling away from the record level of 159 million VND/tael, while plain gold rings and jewelry at many companies either stabilized or declined slightly.
