Asian stock markets mostly declined on Tuesday, following the sell-off in U.S. technology stocks triggered by concerns over a potential “AI bubble.” In Japan, the Nikkei 225 fell 0.37%, with SoftBank Group dropping nearly 2% after announcing late Monday a USD 4 billion acquisition of data-center investment firm DigitalBridge as part of its AI expansion strategy. In Hong Kong, however, the Hang Seng Index rose 0.6%. Notably, six Chinese tech firms debuted on the Hong Kong exchange after raising approximately HKD 6.99 billion (nearly USD 1 billion), with most stocks closing above their IPO prices — marking a strong year of recovery for listings.

Global gold prices plunged more than 5% yesterday, at one point touching 4,300 USD/ounce, driven by heavy profit-taking. As a result, domestic gold prices fell sharply today, extending the steep decline from the previous session. SJC gold bars dropped to around 154 million VND/tael, while plain gold rings and jewelry gold sank nearly 5 million VND/tael across the market.
