- At the end of the 7/12 session, the US stock market fluctuated after setting a new peak last week, in the context of investors concerned about the increase in the number of Covid-19 cases and expecting improvements on the new stimulus package. . The 30-stock Dow index closed 148.47 points lower, or 0.5%, at 30,069.79 points and ended four consecutive gaining sessions. The S&P 500 fell 0.2% to 3,691.96 points. The Dow and S&P 500 closed at all-time highs on Friday. Nasdaq Composite rose 0.5% to 12,519.95 points and hit a new high.
