- US Congress approved the additional stimulus package, the S&P 500 still fell for 3 consecutive sessions, the Dow Jones lost more than 200 points. S&P 5000 fell 0.2%, or 7.66 points, to 3,687.26 points. The Dow Jones industrial average lost 200.94 points, or 0.7%, to close at 30,015.51 points. The Nasdaq Composite rose 0.5 percent to close at 12,807.92 points and recorded a new all-time high. Technology index driven by Apple shares rose 2.9% as investors excited about the company announcing a breakthrough in self-driving cars
