- At the end of January 6 session, Dow Jones soared to an all-time high as investors were optimistic about the prospect of an additional stimulus package as the results of the Georgia Senate election were slowly revealed. The Dow Jones increased by 437.80 points, or 1.4%, to close the day at 30,829.40 points recorded a record high. The Dow rallied more than 600 points earlier in the session and hit an all-time high for the day. The S&P 500 rose 0.6% to 3,748.14 points, also hitting historic peak. The Nasdaq Composite closed down 0.6 percent.
