- The US stock market ended January 15 in the red when investors analyzed the President-elect Joe Biden's proposal to support the economy worth $1,900 billion as well as assessing the business results of some big bank. Dow Jones dropped 177.26 points to 30,814.26 points; S&P 500 decreased 27.29 points to 3,768.25 points; Nasdaq fell 114.14 points to 12,998.5 points.

- On January 16, the Ministry of Industry and Trade officially announced after USTR reported on the Section 301 investigation into the issue of low monetary valuations of Vietnam. Accordingly, the conclusion stated in the report dated January 15 of the USTR did not mention or recommend the US Government imposing duties or using sanctions on Vietnam's exported goods.
