- At the end of January 26, the S&P 500 fell slightly as Wall Street waited for business results from a series of large blue-chips and technology companies. The S&P 500 fell 0.2 percent to 3,849.57 points, after hitting a new record in the previous session. The Dow Jones industrial average fell 22.90 points, or 0.1%, to 30,937.10 points. At one point, an index comprised of 30 stocks traded 150 points higher. Nasdaq Composite lost 0.1% to 13,626.06 points.
