- The number of jobless claims is the lowest in nearly 18 months, Wall Street continues to fall. Ending the session, the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 151.69 points (or 0.43%) to 34,879.38 points, pressured by the decline of Amgen and Merck shares. The S&P 500 index lost 0.46% to 4,493.28 points, down for four consecutive sessions. The Nasdaq Composite Index fell 0.25% to 15,248.30. All 3 major indexes recorded a downtrend this week.

- The Minister of Finance, authorized by the Prime Minister on behalf of the Government, reported to the National Assembly Standing Committee to allow the additional use of 14,620 billion VND in the amount of expenditure reduction and savings of the central budget in 2021 into the central budget reserve to focus on the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic.
