- US stocks fell sharply on Friday (November 26) as a new Covid-19 variant found in South Africa led to a global flight from risk assets. At the end of the session, the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 905.04 points (equivalent to 2.53%) to 34,899.34 points, recording the biggest drop so far this year. The S&P 500 lost 2.27% to 4,594.62 points, while the Nasdaq Composite dropped 2.23% to 15,491.70 points. The Dow Jones fell more than 1,000 points at its session low.

According to the Ministry of Finance, the aviation industry is one of the industries suffering heavy losses due to the COVID-19 epidemic.
