The S&P 500 index gained on Tuesday (March 15), recording its first gain in four sessions, as oil prices continued to decline, falling below the $100 mark and wholesale inflation was lower than expected. . Closing the session, the S&P 500 index advanced 2.1% to 4,262.45 points, although still down more than 11% from its all-time high. The Dow Jones Industrial Average added 599.10 points, or 1.8%, to 33,544.34. The Nasdaq Composite Index rose 2.9% to 12,948.62 points.

The Government has just decided to unilaterally exempt visas for citizens of 13 countries including Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Russia, Japan, South Korea, Denmark, Sweden, and Norway, Belarus and Finland. The policy of visa-free entry to Vietnam for citizens of the above countries is implemented for a period of 3 years, from March 15, 2022 to the end of March 14, 2025.

Regarding market liquidity, yesterday session recorded a decrease in both trading volume and value. The total trading volume of the whole market reached more than 837 million units, equivalent to 26,299 billion dong. On HOSE, the liquidity reached 21,800 billion dong, down more than 20%.
