At the end of the session, VN-Index dropped 2.35 points (-0.19%) to 1,256.5 points. The total matched value reached VND 15,261 bil, down 8% compared to the previous session, of which, the matched value on HoSE alone decreased by 11% and stood at VND12,692 bil. Foreign investors net bought about VND 71 bil on HoSE. Large stocks had strong differentiation, notably, real estate stocks had a breakthrough during the session.

Asian stocks all fell after China released inflation data. Investors are also waiting for the US consumer price index report in July, important input data to determine the Fed's policy path in the near term. The Shanghai Composite Index fell 0.54% to 3,230.02 points. In Hong Kong, the Hang Seng index fell 1.96% to 19,610.84 points. Japan's Nikkei 225 index fell 0.65% to 27,819.33 points. In South Korea, the Kospi index fell 0.9% to 2,480.88 points.

On August 10, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Head of the State Steering Committee for important national and key projects of the transport sector, chaired an online conference of the Steering Committee with 33 provinces. Speaking at the opening of the conference, the Prime Minister stated that the 13th Party Congress set a goal that by 2030, the whole country must have at least 5,000 km of highways, while from 2000 to 2021, the whole country only completed nearly 1,100 km highway.

TCB: Techcombank discloses transaction information of internal shareholders and related persons of internal shareholders participating in the issuance for employees under the company's employee selection program (ESOP) year 2022. 8 individuals who are deputy general directors, chief accountants, people in charge of banking administration... registered to buy 843,340 ESOP shares. The expected transaction time will be from August 12 to 26. TCB previously announced the issuance of more than 6.3 mil ESOP shares in 2022, equivalent to 0.18% of outstanding shares. ESOP shares will be restricted from being transferred for 1 year. Issuing price is 10,000 VND/share, the issuance time is expected in August.
