US stocks were mixed in the session on August 11, despite a newly released report showing the weakening sign of inflation. The S&P 500 index fell 0.07% to 4,207.27. The Nasdaq Composite Index fell 0.58% to 12,779.91 points. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 27.16 points, or 0.08%, to 33,336.67. All three indexes simultaneously rallied right after the market opened but gradually narrowed towards the end of the session.

The Government Inspectorate has just sent a document to the Government Office about collecting opinions on the contents of the Ministry of Industry and Trade asking for opinions of the Government's Standing Committee related to Electricity Planning VIII. Before the proposal to continue deploying to put more than 2,428 MW into commercial operation, the Government Inspector said that it is necessary to carefully consider projects to assess the level of impact when allowing continued implementation.

At the end of the session, foreign investors continued to net buy VND130.7 bil. Foreign investors on HoSE were the strongest net sellers of VNM with VND 105 bil. VCI and VHM were net sold VND73 bil and VND24 bil respectively. On the other side, SSI was the biggest net buyer of SSI with VND68 bil. HDB and VND were net bought VND 48 bil and VND 47 bil respectively.
