US stocks turned lower on Thursday (January 5), after employment data showed that the US labor market remained strong despite the US Federal Reserve (Fed) raising interest rates to reduce interest rates. curb inflation. ADP jobs report showed that the US private sector added 235,000 jobs in December 2022, much higher than forecast. Wages also grew stronger than expected.
