US stocks rose on Thursday (March 16) after a group of banks said to support First Republic Bank amid the banking crisis. Also boosting the market was the announcement from Credit Suisse last night that it would borrow up to USD54 billion from the Swiss National Bank to ensure short-term liquidity.
