World gold prices hit their highest level in 6 months and tend to continue to rise in the context of a weakening USD. At Bao Tin Minh Chau, the price of 24k gold (9999) has risen to 61.03-62.03 million VND/tael, the highest ever. SJC gold price is also listed at the highest level since the beginning of the year, reaching 71.2-72.18 million VND/tael.

Friday’s rebound in the US yields couldn’t give a bullish shift to the US dollar. The dollar index slipped the last week and is under selling pressure this morning despite positive pressure on the yields. Domestically, while the exchange rate at the State Bank increased, the buying and selling rates at many banks were adjusted to decrease significantly this morning.
