The market continued to struggle around the reference level for the second consecutive session. Chemical stocks were positive today, when CSV hit the ceiling and DGC +3%. In addition, many industrial zone stocks have been quite positive, with many stocks increasing sharply such as TIP increased to the ceiling, VGC +6.6%.

Asian stocks ended mixed on Wednesday, with mainland Chinese and Hong Kong markets rallying after authorities announced more steps to revive investor confidence. Markets elsewhere across Asia ended on a subdued note ahead of the FOMC meeting minutes release. Japanese shares edged lower for a second consecutive session as tech shares sagged ahead of Nvidia's earnings release.

On February 21, the exchange rate at the "black market" increased quite sharply by about 50-60 VND compared to yesterday. Accordingly, the selling price on the "black market" is currently around VND25,150, the buying price is about VND25,050. Meanwhile, USD prices at commercial banks decreased slightly compared to yesterday.

HPG: The Board of Directors of Hoa Phat Group said that all blast furnaces of all complexes have been re-operated from the end of 2023. HPG has a total of 7 steel blast furnaces, including 4 furnaces in Dung Quat and 3 furnaces in Hai Duong. In addition, there is an electric furnace in Hung Yen to produce steel from scrap.
