Asia-Pacific markets sold off as the world awaits Israel’s response to Iran’s air assault over the weekend. Most major markets in Asia lost about 2%. China’s economy grew 5.3% in the first quarter compared with a year ago. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index slid 2.12% and closed at 3,511.11 after the GDP announcement. Thailand stock exchange is closed for Special holiday and Songkran Festival Day.

On April 15 session, the State Bank injected a net VND24,200 billion, the highest since the end of April 2023. Of which, SBV has provided a total of nearly VND12,000 billion to 8 commercial banks. Today's session, SBV continued to inject nearly VND12,000 billion through the OMO channel, and at the same time issued VND550 billion of 28-day T-bills, with an interest rate of 3.59%/year.

Accordingly, for customers with deposits from VND300 million to less than VND1 billion, interest rates have increased for terms from 1-12 months and deposits of 24 months or more.
