The S&P 500 closed barely changed, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell and the Nasdaq Composite rose on Monday as investors took a breather after three weekly gains and awaited key inflation readings and earnings reports. Technology provided the biggest boost. Apple shares closing up 1.8% after a report that it had closed in on an agreement with OpenAI to use the startup's technology on the iPhone. Alphabet close up 0.3% and GameStop jumped soared 74%.
