Asian markets were mostly higher today, led by the Nikkei 225, which was led by technology stocks. The Hang Seng, on the other hand, fell sharply due to the impact of Tencent and Tesla battery supplier Contemporary Amperex Technology. These two companies were blacklisted by the US for their ties to the Chinese military.

In the domestic market, the price of SJC gold bars decreased by VND500,000 in both bidding and asking directions, except for Doji, which has not changed its price since January 2. After adjustment, the gold price dropped to VND83.5 million/tael in bidding direction and VND85 million in asking direction.
