Asian stock markets were mixed during today’s trading session (May 21). In China, markets continued to gain after the People’s Bank of China cut the one-year loan prime rate yesterday — the first time since October last year — in a move to ease monetary policy. In Japan, the Nikkei 225 index dropped 0.61% after the Ministry of Finance released data showing that exports to the U.S. fell by 1.8%.

Global gold prices soared today (May 21), trading above the 3,300 USD/ounce mark as the U.S. dollar continued to weaken and investors remained concerned about U.S. tariff policies. Domestically, SJC gold bars rose by VND1.7 million to 121 million VND/tael, while SJC gold rings climbed to 115 million VND/tael.

HPG: In its latest announcement, Hòa Phát Group (HPG) revealed that engineered wood flooring will be the newest product in its ecosystem. Under its long-term development strategy, the Group plans to allocate 20% of flooring production capacity to container applications, while the remaining 80% will focus on premium high-load flooring for domestic and export markets.
