Asian stock markets mostly recovered in the afternoon session, despite a sharp sell-off in the morning due to tensions in the Middle East. After Iran announced it would close the Strait of Hormuz, the U.S. called on China to step in, as China is Iran’s largest oil buyer and maintains friendly ties with Tehran.

SELECTED NEWS
- Vietnam will implement new regional minimum wage levels starting from July 1;
- Vietnam is planning to develop a model of five artificial islands, inspired by Dubai, which will be connected to a super port project worth over VND50,000 billion;
