Asian stock markets mostly closed higher today as the sharp sell-off in Chinese stocks eased. Specifically, after Bloomberg reported that Chinese financial regulators might intervene to curb the sell-off seen in the previous session, market sentiment stabilized. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index rose 1.4% to 25,417.98 points, while Shanghai Composite gained 1.2% to 3,821.51 points.
