Across Asia, equities mostly advanced. Japan’s Nikkei 225 climbed more than 1.2% to 44,372.5 points, while China’s Shanghai Composite jumped over 1.6%, shrugging off news that Mexico plans to raise tariffs on cars imported from China and other Asian countries to 50%.
