Asian stock markets recorded positive movements in the trading session on January 6, with most key indices rising simultaneously. Specifically, in Japan, the Nikkei 225 increased by 1.32%. The Hong Kong market was also active, with the Hang Seng Index rising by 1.38%. The Kospi Index gained 1.52%, boosted by Hyundai’s shares surging over 8% at one point, driven by investor interest after the company unveiled its humanoid robot prototype, Atlas, at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.

In the first trading session after the January 5 holiday, the State Bank of Vietnam maintained a large scale of open market operations (OMO) focused on short-term tenors. Specifically, the State Bank offered VND11,000 billion for 7-day term, VND14,000 billion for 14-day term, VND7,000 billion for 28-day term, and VND4,000 billion for 91-day term, all at a uniform interest rate of 4.5% per annum. As a result, the State Bank injected a net amount of approximately VND16,668 billion into the market during this session. The total outstanding volume on the collateralized lending channel stood at VND401,783 billion.
