Asian stocks largely fell on Tuesday as world oil prices fluctuated sharply. Leading the decline was South Korea's Kospi index, which lost more than 4.2%, as the South Korean won depreciated more than 0.8% to 1,529.9 against the U.S. dollar and hovered near its weakest level since 2009.

World gold prices recovered slightly this morning to above $4600 per ounce, but are still on track to record the largest monthly decline in nearly 17 years. In the fuzzy market, after the soaring interbank exchange yesterday, on March 31, the SBV continued to inject an additional VND 65k billion into the market.
