The Dow Jones rose sharply, setting a new record, and the Nasdaq Composite continued to decline in the context of investors leaving semiconductor stocks to buy cyclical stocks. UnitedHealth led the Dow Jones' gains, jumping more than 5%. JPMorgan Chase and Walmart also contributed positively, rising 3% and nearly 1%, respectively. Non-tech stocks outside the Dow Jones index such as Costco and Eli Lilly rose about 1% and more than 4%, respectively.
