The rising cost of semiconductor components caused a series of technology stocks, led by Apple, to fall deeply, dragging the Nasdaq Composite and S&P 500 indices down. Apple lost 6% after the company announced a price increase in MacBooks and iPads. Apple believes that the reason is the high price of components such as chips. In addition, Microsoft shares fell 3.5% after the company announced an increase in the price of Xbox consoles.
