This afternoon, Asian stocks diverged markedly. South Korea's KOSPI index closed in the green, ending a series of two sessions of decline. Regional sentiment was buoyed by the July US jobs report with 23,000 jobs lost, the probability of a US Federal Reserve raising interest rates at its September meeting decreased from 64% to 43%. China's Shanghai Composite Index and Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index both fell.
