Pinetree: From pioneering digital securities to advancing financial education

Partnering with the State Securities Commission (SSC) in its cooperation program with the National Economics University (NEU), Pinetree is bringing Stock123 into education and investment practice, further advancing its commitment to digital securities and financial education.

On August 13, the State Securities Commission (SSC) and the National Economics University (NEU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote securities education, scientific research, and the dissemination of securities knowledge. The program is supported by three companies: Pinetree Securities, SSI, and FiinGroup.

This is the third university to participate in the program initiated by the SSC in 2026, following Foreign Trade University (FTU) and the Academy of Finance (AOF).

As part of this cooperation, Pinetree is integrating Stock123 – the first virtual securities learning and practice application in Vietnam – into the university’s training program, enabling students to gain hands-on investment experience during their studies.

Through the application, students can learn and practice investing in a simulated environment powered by real market data. The platform allows learners to experience the entire investment process before entering the actual market, helping bridge the gap between classroom knowledge and real-world investment practices.

Pinetree’s participation in the SSC’s program is a continuation of the company’s digital securities development strategy, which it has pursued since entering the Vietnamese market in 2019. For Pinetree, technology is not only a means of simplifying the investment experience but also a way to broaden access to financial knowledge and contribute to developing a high-quality workforce for the market.

Launched in January 2020, Stock123 became the leading securities learning and practice application in Vietnam within just six months. To date, the platform has supported numerous prestigious academic competitions, including I-Invest, Go Finance, and FIB Bull & Bear, while also being officially incorporated into teaching and practical training at Hanoi University of Science and Technology and Dai Nam University.

Through Stock123 and its series of cooperation programs with the SSC, Pinetree continues to advance its commitment to promoting financial education and developing a high-quality workforce.
