JOB PURPOSE

The DevOps Engineer is responsible for enabling effective collaboration, integration, and automation across Agile development teams throughout the software delivery lifecycle. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and continuously improving CI/CD pipelines and delivery workflows to support the development, testing, release, and operation of digital products and platforms within a securities company environment. This position plays a key role in ensuring software solutions can be delivered reliably, efficiently, and in alignment with business priorities and regulatory expectations.

CRITICAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Continuous Delivery & Integration Enablement

  • Design, build, and continuously optimize CI/CD pipelines to support application development and delivery.
  • Improve delivery efficiency by monitoring and optimizing key indicators such as process time, lead time, delivery delays, completion rate, and release accuracy.
  • Support continuous integration activities, including feature integration, defect resolution, automated testing, and validation in non-production environments.
  • Enable controlled and consistent deployment of applications and platforms from non-production to production environments.
  • Support Agile Teams in delivering application features quickly and reliably to meet business timelines.

2. Container Platform & System Administration (Docker/Kubernetes)

  • Build and operate Docker: Standardize Dockerfiles, base images, tagging/versioning; manage registries, image lifecycle, and image scanning (if applicable).
  • Platform system administration: Linux administration, service hardening, basic networking (DNS/TLS/load balancing); capacity planning and performance tuning based on workload demands.

3. Collaboration & Operational Excellence

  • Work closely with Agile teams to remove CI/CD bottlenecks, standardize releases, and improve reliability.
  • Participate in incident handling, root cause analysis (RCA), and implementation of preventive actions.
  • Drive continuous improvement: reduce manual tasks, increase automation, and enhance system observability.

REQUIREMENTS

1. Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

2. Job knowledge

  • Solid understanding of software delivery lifecycle, CI/CD concepts, and DevOps practices.
  • Strong knowledge of DevOps tooling and delivery metrics.

3. Relevant Experience

  • At least 3–6 years of experience in DevOps/SRE/Platform roles or equivalent deployment/support positions.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments and supporting multiple Agile Teams.

4. Required Competencies

  • Docker & containerization: building optimized images and applying best practices.
  • CI/CD: experience with GitLab CI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions (at least one), including runner/agent administration
  • Linux system administration, scripting (Bash/Python), and understanding of basic networking (DNS/TLS/HTTP).
  • IaC / Automation: hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, Helm, or Kustomize (at least 1–2 tools).
  • Observability: Prometheus/Grafana and a logging stack (ELK, OpenSearch, etc.).
  • Preferred: knowledge of GitOps (ArgoCD/Flux), Service Mesh, Vault, OPA/Gatekeeper, SBOM, and experience in regulated environments.
  • Preferred: hands-on experience operating Kubernetes, including workloads, ingress, RBAC, scaling, and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work closely with software engineers to support development, testing, and deployment activities.
