US stocks continued to record another record trading session, despite the deadlocked peace talks pushing oil prices higher. Last weekend, President Donald Trump canceled plans to send U.S. special envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner to Pakistan to negotiate an Iran-related ceasefire. Despite this, Iran has reportedly put forward new proposals to the United States for reopening the Strait of Hormuz and ending the war, and offered to postpone nuclear talks.
