This afternoon, the wave of sell-off in chip stocks from the US spread throughout the region, causing major markets to simultaneously sink into the red. South Korea's KOSPI was under the heaviest pressure when the two giants Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix were hit hard. Japan's Nikkei 225 declined in the semiconductor manufacturing group, while China's Shanghai Composite and Hong Kong's Hang Seng both retreated.

The focus of domestic goods today is the price of SJC gold bars continues to plunge very deeply. According to Vietnambiz's update, gold bars at Saigon Gold, Silver and Gems Company, Doji Group, Phu Quy, Phu Nhuan and Bao Tin Minh Chau systems simultaneously decreased by 4.7 million VND per buying volume and 3.7 million VND each selling volume compared to the weekend session, bringing the listed price to 141.5 million VND to buy and 146.5 million VND to sell per volume.
