US stocks fell in the early session of the week due to pressure from oil prices as the US and Iran continued to escalate tensions. The U.S. completed its ninth consecutive day of attacks on Iran, but investor sentiment improved by mid-morning in London after Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei raised hopes for a diplomatic solution. However, oil prices have continued to rise after President Donald Trump said in a post on Truth Social that Iran would pay many times more for the deaths of 3 US servicemen.
