Major US stock indexes recovered in the session on September 2 as the rally in Treasury yields slowed down. The yield on 10-year US government bonds – an important reference index – at one point touched 4.818% on September 2, a level not seen since November 2023. Bond yields in the UK, Germany and France also rose. In Japan, the yield on 10-year government bonds hovered around multi-decade highs. However, by the end of the session, the main indexes of US stocks had recovered as the rally in bond yields slowed.
